the truth of the strawberries episode is that i was not paying attention during breakfast, reading while eating, as usual...and some wild taste happened in my mouth that made me stop...it wasn't quite like transubstantiation, but it was such a seriously odd thing that i had to stop reading whatever it was, something about an author on joyce...
and like a double whammy wild words popped up and demanded writing of themselves.
and i rushed to do that. but missed the train of thought. and now i understand how one would HAVE one of those. possible title: a train ran through it. no no it's about strawberries. a train of strawberries? trainwreck. strawberry jam.

whatever. all those wild words ran on down the track ahead of me laughing at the poverty of my excuses and are now way off out there somewhere having a life with a more adept, nimbleminded writing person. - so i'm thinking it would be wonderful to have the passion and the stamina and the commitment for writing every day. for waiting upon the words. yes. perhaps i'll do that.
and it would be wonderful if words would come that were to be published and then so fiercely regarded and hotly desired as to be bootlegged into the library and fastened hard to the wall for required reading ... right next to a handy red fire extinguisher with a large brass plate instructing all sophomores to point and shoot repeatedly.
yes. i see it.

I am too covered over in work these days....late getting here and late commenting.
But it is WONDERFUL to see you writing again! And I would be thrilled if someone had to use a fire extinguisher on my writing... ;-)
Cheers,
Doxy
P.S. Have you ever read "Jamberry" by Bruce Degen? I *highly* recommend it.
think i'll just be out the door to the bookstore to get that...loved to see you pop up here!
