palin did so poorly with katie couric--twice--earlier in the week that tonight's bar was pretty low in performance expectation, so she is looking and sounding squeaky confident as if she was a freaking economic brain in a barbie suit...but the folksy condesension shows the real palin...you don't need derision when you know your stuff--as opposed to delivering sound bites and talking points...
biden needed no additional polish or showdog tricks--he is able to look and act like the real thing, because, well, he's the real thing...the best zinger of the night was that the mccain plan for health care is a REAL bridge to nowhere...barbie's experience in broadcast journalism will no doubt serve her well with worried repubs....regardless of whether she knows the facts instead of superficial talking points, regardless of whether she even tells the truth, her straight into the camera delivery is good and is all the wilting superficial rightwingnuts needed for a little boost...joe is good at coming back and being very clear and knowledgeable and experienced, because, well, he actually is, in real life, knowledgeable and experienced...
